Allen Ginsberg once said, “Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.”
At Merchants of Reality, that is exactly what we do. We don’t try; we do. We are a 24-hour art factory. We are equipped with a gallery, a recording studio, a wood-working room, a silkscreen lab, a darkroom, a textiles workspace, a paper-making setup, a sharing library, a copy machine & a mini movie theatre. We are a safe haven for flora. We have an awesome makeshift and sustainable fish tank, made out of a recycled television set, for our aquatic friends. We play with paintbrushes, needles and pins, sharpies, and banjos, poetic beats, a melody of words, rhythmic typewriters, hot glue guns, and an organ from the 1800s. We sew soft and fluffy monstrosities, we stun your taste buds with our handcrafted and nutritious feasts, we sing. We are paper mache machines. We are curators, educators, learners. We are set designers, sound engineers, filmmakers. We are producers. We are lovers of animals, lovers of people, lovers of love. We are so much more, but mostly, we are creators, because we this is what we love most to do.
Our art factory is the embodiment of creativity amidst constant laughter and warmth. We are madness. We are Light. We are Merchants of Reality.
